Win The Day # 8: Table for One, Reserved by God

There’s something beautiful about a table set for one — not because it’s lonely, but because it’s intentional.

In a culture that often equates worth with being wanted, Christian singleness can feel like being left out of the banquet of life. But Scripture tells another story — one where God Himself sets the table, and every seat, even the one with just your name on it, has purpose.

Singleness is not a detour from God’s best for your life. It’s not a season to rush through or a problem to solve. It’s a calling to walk closely with the Lord, unhindered and undistracted (1 Corinthians 7:32–35). At this table for one, there is space for stillness, for service, for healing, for joy.

It’s not that God has forgotten your desire for companionship. He sees, He hears, and He cares. But He also wants to remind you that your worth isn’t found in being chosen by another human — it’s in being known, loved, and chosen by Him.

So pull up your chair. This isn’t the kids’ table or the overflow seating. It’s where God is sitting across from you, inviting you into deeper fellowship. You are not alone — you are hand-placed, hand-loved, and hand-led.

Your table for one has always had a reservation — with Him.
