It’s been a while since I’ve sat down to write.
Honestly, I didn’t plan for it to be this long. Life just… happened. Between the new school year starting, trying to get back into a rhythm, and a few personal journeys along the way — I blinked, and months had passed.
But sometimes, God does His best work in the quiet seasons — the ones where you’re not producing, posting, or performing. The ones where you’re just living.
And that’s where I’ve been. Living. Learning. Listening.
Not long ago, I went to my 20-year high school reunion. Just typing that makes me feel a little old — but wow, what an experience. Seeing familiar faces, sharing stories, and realizing how far we’ve all come reminded me how faithful God has been.
Some of us came in celebrating successes, others quietly carrying burdens. But the same God who walked with us at 17 is still walking with us now.
That night wasn’t just nostalgia — it was perspective.
It was a reminder that time moves fast, but God’s grace runs deeper still.
Another big part of my recent season has been my weight loss journey.
It’s been hard. Really hard.
There were mornings I didn’t want to move, nights I questioned if it even mattered, and plenty of moments when progress felt painfully slow. But through it all, God’s been teaching me something I didn’t expect: discipline is worship.
Every time I choose to honor my body — to fuel it well, to rest, to move — I’m not just chasing a goal. I’m surrendering my habits to Him.
Because this isn’t just about a smaller number on a scale.
It’s about a bigger heart for obedience.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit… therefore honor God with your bodies.”
And that’s what I’m learning to do — one step, one meal, one prayer at a time.
As the school year kicked off, life picked up its usual pace — lesson plans, students, emails, the beautiful chaos that comes with the start of something new.
And yet, in the middle of it all, I’ve sensed a quiet reminder from God: “Don’t just teach — trust.”
Trust that He’s working in the little moments — the quick hallway conversations, the encouraging notes, the smiles that hide exhaustion.
Trust that even when I feel poured out, He’s the one refilling me.
Isaiah 40:31 says, “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.”
This year, that’s my prayer — not just to run, but to run with renewed strength.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned in this season, it’s this:
Just because it’s quiet doesn’t mean God isn’t speaking.
Sometimes, the silence is where He does His deepest healing.
Sometimes, the waiting is where He strengthens your roots.
And sometimes, stepping away isn’t failure — it’s faith.
Faith to rest.
Faith to reset.
Faith to return when the time is right.
And maybe that’s why I’m writing again — not because I finally have it all together, but because I’ve seen the beauty of God holding me together when I didn’t.
Maybe you’ve been there — drifting a bit, feeling behind, wondering if God’s forgotten your name.
He hasn’t.
He’s still working in the background, shaping your story, and preparing you for what’s next.
You might not see the ending yet, but the Author’s still writing.
So here’s to reunion reminders, faith-fueled discipline, and new beginnings.
Here’s to trusting that God’s timing — even when it feels delayed — is never wasted.
